Moore County AG+Art Tour

Moore County has more than 730 farms and the agricultural heritage of this part of North Carolina goes back to pre colonial times. There are generations of families that have been farming in the Sandhills region; recently a growing number of smaller farms have added to the unique diversity of those farms. Farming is a significant part of the Moore County economy today.

In more recent years, the arts community in the Pinehurst, Southern Pines and Aberdeen Area has seen enormous growth and its vibrancy can be felt throughout our community. In 2023, the Arts Council of Moore County celebrated with 50th year!

In the Fall of 2024, the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area CVB in partnership with the Arts Council of Moore County and the Moore County Agricultural Extension Service will launch the inaugural AG+ART Tour. The tour is a self-guided experience scheduled across four weekends from September 27-October 20, 2024. Each weekly tour will allow people to visit farms and markets which will feature local artists and artisans at every stop. Visitors will be able to experience farm tours, see where local food and other sourced products come from and watch artists perform, or have the opportunity to purchase their works.

We are excited to have been invited to host one of the visitor sites.  We will have daily demonstrations, and other artists on site. This page will be updated as other details become available.
